Feedback from users is that AC Gear Super Iso Cans provide better isolation than the alternatives, including some of the most expensive ones. We do not cite a sound attenuation value (usually expressed in dB) because it is subject to so many variables such as the frequencies experienced and the quality of fit against the users head, so we make no representation whatsoever in that regard.
However, our crude bench-testing indicates sound attenuation is around 32dB at 1000Hz and varies from ~22 to 40dB across most of the spectrum. Typical drumming sounds are attenuated by 25dBA or more based on our tests, and pink noise is attenuated by around 28dB. Please note that these tests were not controlled and were for product development only. There are so many variables that will affect actual attenuation - you need to judge for yourself.
AC Gear cans are finished in durable automotive finishes, available in high gloss or flat/satin. AC Gear cans are built using a top-quality, comfortable 3M industrial earmuff assembly.
Choose from black or "Plum Extra-Crazy" purple; or for a little extra customise with just about any car paint colour you can think of. See the photo gallery below.
We use high quality, sensitive 40mm 64ohm speakers specially selected and tuned for this application. Many, many design revisions and tests have resulted in a rich sound that extends well into the high and low ranges, with excellent definition and clarity. Super Iso Cans II have a flatter response than before, with a gentle roll-off in the high frequencies. You will find that Super Iso Cans II have a pleasing EQ with great fidelity and clarity right down into those low bass notes.
AC Gear cans have a partly-coiled studio style cable (~1.5m stretching to 2.5m) with a standard 3.5mm stereo plug, with a screw-on 1/4" adapter.

A single number doesn't tell the whole story. Using some basic measuring equipment and a calibrated microphone in a box we can see isolation across the frequency range, relative to unmodified Peltor Optime III earmuffs.
The difference between the room sound level and Super Iso Cans II varies from around 22dB to over 40dB depending on the sound frequency.
